What is thyroid-healthy eating? Well, that can be a tricky question to answer because there is no one-size-fits-all thyroid diet. We all have unique dietary needs and sensitivities.
After spending the last 5 years reading, researching, and interviewing the leading doctors and experts on thyroid health, I've identified some common threads that run through this concept. Sure, different experts have different opinions about thyroid-healthy do's and dont's, but most agree on certain core concepts, and the reasons behind them.

My Approach to Thyroid-healthy Eating
I cook with lots of organic produce, clean animal protein, and healthy fats. This is true for my personal diet, and for the recipes I share here. This is also why I focus on dietary templates like gluten-free, dairy-free, Paleo, and AIP.
While the long-term ideal is a personalized, bio-individual diet, these templates make good starting points for anti-inflammatory eating. They also make recipe searching easier, and give us a vocabulary we can use to communicate as Thyroid Thrivers on various dietary paths.
